Haranadh takes over as Paradip port’s new chairman
While assuming charge, Haranad stressed prioritising completion of various upcoming projects at PPT, including the ambitious Western Dock project at the earliest.
The 15th National Theatre Festival CANFEST-2018 kick-started here on Monday at the Jayadev Sadan in a grand manner with the Mr Rinkesh Roy, Chairman, Paradip Port Trust (PPT) declaring it open.
Several troupes from different parts of the state and country are participating in Fest. N.Vaiyapuri, Dy. Chairman, PPT and Ms Nadira Zaheer Babbar, Eminent Theatre Director and film actor of Mumbai and others like. Rajesh Makwana, DIG, Paradip Coast Guard, Biswajit Sinha,Chief executive, PPL, KJ Patel, GM, IFFCO, Pratap Mishra, Trustee, PPT were present.
The festival is being organised by the leading cultural organization of the Port city CANMASS in collaboration with Ministry of Culture, Department of Culture, Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre( NEZCC), Kolkata, North Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, Paradip Port Trust (PPT), Paradip IFFCO, Indian Oil.

The eight day long festival will continue till 26 March. To revive folk art, CANMASS has organised Folk Theatre performance every day from 8.30 PM onwards in front of Jayadev Sadan on a special stage.
Ekjute group from Mumbai presented the inaugural Hindi play “Yeh Hai Bombay Meri Jaan” on the inaugural day on Monday.
The play was written and directed by Nadia Zaheer Babbar of Mumbai. The play duration was 2 hours 10 minutes. The play “Yeh Hai Bombay Meri Jaan” gave an insight into the numerous strugglers who are willing to sacrifice everything to achieve even an iota of their dreams.
The well written play by Nadira Zaheer Babbar tickled audience funny bone and raised some crucial questions. The festival is being organised and coordinated by CANMASS president Atulya Mohapatra and secretary Sriman Narayan Mishra.
