Biological sciences: Addressing global challenges while building a successful career

These goals address a wide range of global challenges, including climate change, the biodiversity crisis, and pressing health issues like antibiotic resistance and cancer. Biological scientists play a crucial role in tackling these challenges and can also benefit from the diverse career opportunities available to them.

SurTech hosts summit to encourage industry interactions for students

Dr Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex (SurTech), a JIS Group Educational Initiative and Idea-O-Meter successfully hosted the ‘Academia and Industrial Summit 2024’ on 8 November at the SurTech Campus at Dumdum, Kolkata, to bridge the gap between academia and industry, creating invaluable opportunities for SurTech students.

What did you learn in school today?

Bhaber Pathshala (or Bhabshala) was started in 2022 in a place called Mohishdhal Moujar, just 10 km away from Shantiniketan station with probably the same peripheral vision of spreading the essential mediums of art and activities. Four people and their need to create communities started this space. Arnab Sengupta, Meenu Baske, Pritam Chakraborty, and Anjan Das started the initiative to teach the local Santali kids.
