Tapping the huge potential of Design as a career option cutting across sectors, World University of Design (WUD), a UGC recognised university dedicated to education in the creative domain has announced admissions to a specialised industry oriented 2-year MBA Degree programme in Design Strategy and Management. Admissions are open for the academic year 2019. The curriculum encourages creativity and innovation and also offers an Executive Degree pathway for working professionals.

According to The Future of Design Education in India Report, by 2020, the potential market for design in India is expected to be Rs 188.32 billion (GBP1.43 billion). The number of designers required by 2020 across design domains will be over 60,000 annually, provided the design potential is fully realized. Design management graduates have therefore multiple avenues available to them from product development or brand strategy involving advertising, marketing and other brand-building areas of operations. Depending on their educational background, an MBA Graduate in Design Strategy and Management can also work in varied areas like product development, packaging, operations or research and development across nearly all industries.
