The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a positive note during the morning session of the trade.

The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 33,813.83 points, touched a high of 33,91.36 points and a low of 33,813.33 points.

On Tuesday the Sensex closed at 33,703.59 points.

The Sensex is trading at 33,858.21 points up by 154.62 points or 0.46 per cent.

On the other hand, the broader 51-scrip Nifty at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 10,426.00 points after closing at 10,360.40 points.

The Nifty is trading at 10,404.00 points in the morning.

At close, the Sensex was down 423.49 points or 0.55 per cent at 76,619.33, and the Nifty was down 108.60 points or 0.47 per cent at 23,203.20.

At close, the Sensex was up 169.62 points or 0.22 per cent at 76,499.63, and the Nifty was up 90.10 points or 0.39 per cent at 23,176.05.

At close, the Sensex was down 1,048.90 points or 1.36 per cent at 76,330.01, and the Nifty was down 345.55 points or 1.47 per cent at 23,085.95.
