Amid global market weakness, indices tumble over 1%
Benchmark indices tumbled over 1% on Thursday marking their fourth consecutive session of decline. The decline came amid global market weakness weighing heavily on investor sentiment.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a positive note during the morning session of the trade.
The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 33,813.83 points, touched a high of 33,91.36 points and a low of 33,813.33 points.

On Tuesday the Sensex closed at 33,703.59 points.

The Sensex is trading at 33,858.21 points up by 154.62 points or 0.46 per cent.
On the other hand, the broader 51-scrip Nifty at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 10,426.00 points after closing at 10,360.40 points.
The Nifty is trading at 10,404.00 points in the morning.
