Infosys to expand its campus in Telangana
Tech giant Infosys is all set to expand its IT campus at Pocharam. The move will lead to the creation of 17,000 new jobs in Telangana.
Infosys Ltd appointed TVS Capital Funds Ltd Vice-Chairman D. Sundaram as an independent director on its board, the software major announced on Saturday.
"Sundaram is appointed as independent director with effect from July 14 on the recommendation of the company's nomination and remuneration committee of the board," said the IT giant in a statement here after a regulatory filing on the BSE.

A fellow of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants, the Chennai-based honcho was Vice-Chairman of Hindustan Unilever Ltd, the Indian arm of the Dutch-British transnational consumer goods firm Unilever Group, which he joined in 1975.

"Sundaram brings extensive experience in the field of finance and strategy execution. I am sure the board will benefit from his expertise," said Infosys Chairman R. Seshasayee in the statement.
