On Friday morning, the domestic markets continued to rise as they followed positive cues from the international markets in early trades. The major indices in Europe and the US markets closed Thursday’s sessions with gains, and Asian stocks were trading higher on Friday morning.

Sensex rose 110 points to 61,244 and the Nifty50 rose 30 points to 18,221.30. On Friday morning, some of the most active companies on the BSE were Craftsman, Eureka Forbes, Maharashtra Bank, and HG Infra. Timken, Eicher Motor, Hawkin Cook, National Standard (India), and Carborundum Universal were the index laggards.

The most active stocks on the NSE on Friday morning were Hindalco, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors, and Tata Steel, while Tata Motors, Apollo Hospital, Titan, Divis Lab, and Ultra Cement lagged behind.

On Friday morning, the Nikkei increased by 68 points in Japan, the Hang Seng by 191 points in Hong Kong, the Shanghai SE by 19 points in China, and the S&P ASX by 35 points in the Asian markets.

In the European stock market, the FTSE gained 15 points, the CAC 40 was up, the Deutsche was up 146 points, and Refinitiv gained 2 points.

In the US, the Dow Jones ended the session 345 points higher, the Nasdaq was up 264 points, the S&P 500 was up 66 points, and Refinitiv United States was up 6 points.

On Friday morning, the Indian rupee increased 25 paise to 82.73 against the US dollar.

The BSE Sensex increased by 223.60 points or 0.37 percent on Thursday to reach 61,133.88. To reach 18,191, the Nifty 50 index gained 68.50 points, or 0.38 percent.
