The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has sanctioned an additional allocation of 5,000 MW to Rajasthan under the PM Kusum (Component A – Feeder level Solarisation) Scheme.

The allocation of additional quota to the state was made on a representation made by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and a team of top officials that met Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Sharing the message about the sanction on his Twitter page, CM Sharma expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Minister.

In his message, Joshi said, “Bhajan Lal Ji and his team met me on 7th Jan 2025 in Delhi with a request for allocation of additional 5000 MW. We have accepted the request and issued orders in record time for the additional allocation of 5000 MW. Under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi ji, we are committed to being leaders in the Renewable Energy sector and shall go the extra mile when it comes to addressing the requests and concerns of state governments, who are partners in this endeavour.”
