Stock market falls after US President Trump announces new tariffs
Stock market fell on Monday amid losses in global markets as the US President Donald Trump announced new tariffs on key trading partners, including Canada, Mexico, and China.
Mahurat Trading, ended Samvat 2076 with 192.14 points or 0.49 per cent higher at 39,250.20.
Domestic financial markets to remain closed for trading on Monday, on account of Diwali Balipratipada or Govardhan Puja.
Equity market benchmark S&P BSE Sensex on October 27, during the special trading session—Mahurat Trading, ended Samvat 2076 with 192.14 points or 0.49 per cent higher at 39,250.20.

The broader NSE Nifty index settled at 11,627.15, up 43.25 points or 0.37 per cent from its previous close.

Top gainers were Tata Motors, Yes Bank, M&M, Infosys and Vedanta, while drags include Bharti Infratel, Coal India, Titan, Grasim Industries and Maruti Suzuki.
