The preliminary examination will be held on October 13, 14, 20 and 21. The candidates who clear the Preliminary examination will sit for main examination conducting on November 18.
The results of the preliminary examination for the Indian Engineering Service (IES) were announced on Saturday, 17 February, by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Candidates can check their results online at upsc.gov.in.
Successful candidates can appear for IES (Main) Examination 2018 to be held on 1 July.

The commission advised qualified candidates to refer to the ‘Rules of the Engineering Services Examination, 2018’ issued by the Ministry of Railways and the examination notice no.01/2018 dated 27 September 2017 issued by the commission which is also available on its website.
The examinations were conducted at various test centres across the nation on 7 January.
In its notification the UPSC said, “The candidates may download their e-admit cards from the Commission’s Website around 3 weeks before the commencement of the Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2018.”
The marks secured by candidates and cut-off marks will be uploaded on the official website after the declaration of final result.

3. Download pdf document.
4. Find your roll number.
