With Uttar Pradesh board examinations for 10th and 12th standard underway in the state, the UP govt, this year, is using stringent methodology to curtail cheating during the exams.
From CCTV cameras to assistance from Special Task Force (STF) and utilisation of state intelligence agencies to keep a check on unethical activities, the board and the government have gone all-out.
The board has decided to go the extra-mile with the measures to curtail cheating, as since many years reports of cheating and unethical practices have regularly cropped up, which has questioned the state’s education system and its education policies.

The UP board examinations are set to be conducted in two sessions; morning session will commence from 7:30 am to 10:45 am and the afternoon session will begin from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The exams are scheduled till 12 March.
Regulations:
The UP government has imposed Section 144 in Kanpur, which forbids gathering of more than 4 people in the city. Kanpur has been reported as the hotbed of mass cheating, hence the section was imposed in the city.
As per government’s instructions, every student must carry their Aadhaar card to enter the examination hall. While, apart from carrying the original admit card, students are supposed to carry a printed copy as well. If candidates fail to oblige by the regulations, they will be denied permission to enter the examination hall.
Along with two sets of admit cards, the students were also advised to reach the examination centres in advance and report entry on time.
As per media reports, around 66-lakh students are set to appear for the board examinations for Classes 10 and 12.
