Students aspiring to build a career in the legal profession exhibited legal acumen and analytical prowess at the National Moot Court Competition 2024 organised here by Xavier Law School, XIM University in collaboration with Competition Commission of India.

The event unfolded amidst an ambience of reverence and scholarly pursuit. The final adjudication was presided over by the distinguished Ms Pami Rath, senior advocate at the Orissa High Court, and Dr Bidhyadhar Majhi, advisor within the economics domain and head of the Mergers and Acquisitions division at the Competition Commission of India.

As the curtains drew close on this extravaganza, the assembly convened to reflect upon the significance of this intellectual endeavor. Faculty convenor Dr Avnish Bhatt dwelt on the essence of legal scholarship and the pursuit of excellence.

Dean of Xavier Law School, Dr Narayan Chandra Sarangi, Vice Chancellor, Fr Antony R Uvari S J Registrar Fr S Antony Raj also threw light on the wide ranging scope for students pursuing law education.

The Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University, Bhubaneswar emerged as the victorious laureate while the National Law University of Bhopal earned the distinction as the worthy runners-up.

Such accomplishments not only underscore the prodigious talents of the participants but also serve as a testament to the enduring spirit of legal scholarship and intellectual rigor that permeates the esteemed legal fraternity, organizers concluded.
