DU announces committee to conduct DUSU elections
The Delhi University on Thursday announced a three-member committee to conduct the 2024-25 Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) elections.
On the second day of DU's "Open Days" session, scores of Delhi University (DU) aspirants complained that the call to its Admission Helpline number remained ‘unanswered’.
A girl student said that she was compelled to visit the university campus as no one answered her call on the helpline despite of making about more than a dozen calls.

DU’s helpline number ‘011- 27006900’ is dedicated for answering the admission related enquiries and is operated by University Information Centre (UIC).

Since there is only one person to attend the helpline calls, which has 12 extensions, most of the calls remains unattended.
The lone employee at UIC said on the condition of anonymity said that more than thousand calls are made daily on the helpline at the time of admissions but being alone she is unable to answer them.
“From morning I have attended more than 250 calls and this is maximum of what I can do,” she said. “Last year (2016), two employees and about 6 volunteers were there to attend the calls. But this year (2017) I am alone and even student volunteers are not here,” she added.
The university official assured that they will look into the matter and resolve it as soon as possible.
