The regional director of National Service Scheme (NSS), Kolkata, Union ministry of youth affairs and sports and NSS-II in Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya organised a youth dialogue based on India’s Panch Pran under the banner of Yuba- Sambad @2047 at College premises in Siliguri recently.
A total of 41 boys and girls associated with the NSS from different colleges in north Bengal participated.

Students delivered their speeches on the goal of developing India, removing any trace of slavery or colonial mindset, taking pride in our heritage and legacy, unity and solidarity and lastly a sense of duty among citizens.
Programme Officer, NSS-II, Surya Sen College, Babita Prasad coordinated the event inviting dignitaries as resource persons for judgement. Notably, President Droupadi Murmu conferred the NSS awards for 2021-22 to P K Mishra and Babita Prasad on 29 September, 2023.
Three students ranked as the best speakers. They were Mousumi Chowdhury from Naxalbari College, Akash Bhattacharya from Sukanta Mahavidyalaya and Nikita Hembram, student of Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya, NSS Unit-II.
