The Serampore MP Kalyan Banerjee today lashed out against the Modi-led BJP government for imposing CAA. He termed CAA unlawful since it curbs the constitutional rights of common people. The imposition of CAA is politically motivated, it is creating division among people on religious grounds.
Discrimination is being made on religious grounds which is very harmful for a secular country. The Aadhaar card was made mandatory now, it is really ridiculous that a person who has been residing in India for more than 60 years now has to go for citizen registration. A strong protest against CAA will spread like wildfire. Anti-people laws cannot be supported, religious discrimination will not be allowed.
