The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia hit out at the Union Budget 2018-19 on Thursday, saying that “BJP govt does not care for Delhi”.

In a series of tweets, Manish Sisodia, who also holds the Finance portfolio, said that its was a disappointing Union Budget, while adding that not a single extra rupee increased in Delhi’s share in Central taxes since 2001-02, which stays at Rs 325 crore. No other part of India gets such treatment, he said.

According to the Delhi government, Delhi’s share in central taxes has been kept at Rs 325 crore, static since 2001-02.

Sisodia also criticised Centre for not being able to deal with the issue of rising pollution levels in Delhi, while stating that “I had personally requested a special package for 2000 electric buses for Delhi, which could have played a major role in combating air pollution. Unfortunately, BJP govt does not care for Delhi”.
