Trinamul Congress’ Brigade rally is to showcase people’s opinion for the Trinamul Congress. The party hopes the massive turnout will send the right signal to New Delhi.
The leaders, including the chief minister Mamata Banerjee and party’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee have specified that this rally will highlight the Centre’s apathy towards Bengal and the withholding of central funds due to the state.
Last minute preparations are almost complete. Abhishek made his rounds of Eco Park, Gitanjali Stadium, Netaji Indoor, Uttrino and one location in Howrah today, where the party workers from the districts are putting up.
The excitement is palpable as senior leaders trooped in to check the venue. Sources said before Parliament polls, the Brigade rally will witness mammoth gathering and TMC chairperson Mamata Banerjee will clear the political line for the Lok Sabha election.
Trinamul’s Brigade rally will have three stages, one facing Victoria Memorial, another, parallel to the main stage and the third one. Stage is connected with a cross ramp, for better connecting with the people. The length of ramp running straight from the stage is of 100m in length (approx 330 feet), 6 feet in height, 80m in breadth. The ramp from left to right is 80m (approx 240 feet).
The stages are constructed with a massive flower-decked ramp. On Friday, Police Commissioner Vineet Goel inspected the preparations with the Kolkata Police’s full team, ensuring meticulous arrangements and keen observation. This time, speakers will walk through a 300-foot straight ramp amidst the crowd.

TMC’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, had already inspected the arrangements, visiting the venue and surveying the space designated for workers and supporters at the Geetanjali Stadium. The party leaders have already specified that the rally is not just a rally; it is a protest against injustice, especially directed towards the BJP.
