Addressing a press conference Dr Shashi Panja, state minister for women, child development and social welfare and industries and former Rajya Sabha MP Ritabrata Bandyopadhyay, said, “People should know that Modi ki guarantee is full of fake promises. BJP has failed in every sphere,” she maintained.
The leaders said unemployment in the country has reached an all time high. However, no step has been taken by the Centre to address this issue.

Smart City Mission was introduced in 2015. Under the scheme 100 cities across the country were brought under the mission. It was seen that 13 cities had received money for 3 years, another 12 cities got funds for 2 years while 5 more cities got money for one year.
In the Namami Gange scheme it was found that Varanasi, Prime Minister’s constituency, is most polluted with micro plastics that were seen floating on the river.
Under Sagar Mela projects, 44 development schemes were announced. Later, it was found there was no fund for 31 projects.
The leaders said notbandi (demonetization) announced in 2016 was a disaster and the Indian economy is yet to come out of the economic slowdown till date. Black money could not be recovered and cash in circulation is going up. It has also failed to curb terrorism which was promised by the Prime Minister.
Coming down heavily on the saffron party, Trinamul Congress leaders said 10 days have passed since Trinamul Congress declared the list of candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election the BJP is yet to announce the names of 23 candidates. “A party that cannot field candidates in 23 seats, how can it face the challenges thrown by Abhishek Banerjee,” they asked.
Mr Banerjee has challenged the BJP that since the 2021-22 financial year, it had not given 10 paisa for houses for rural poor and Rs 10 for the workers under MGNREGA scheme. He challenged the BJP leaders to negate the allegation and requested them to meet him over a debate at any place and time of their choice.
