The swearing-in ceremony of the BJP-dominated Mahayuti government is most likely to take place in Mumbai by Wednesday, November 27 or even earlier, it is learnt.

Adhikari in a public meeting at Khejuri in East Midnapore said Trinamul is going through a rough patch, their heads are spinning and they are collapsing to the ground.” Adhikari was commenting on the fall of Mamata Banerjee at her residence last evening. Banerjee received injury on her head and had to be given four stitches.
Reacting sharply, Chandrima Bhattacharya, president Trinamul Mahila Congress, said, “It is unfortunate that he is making derogatory remarks against a women, who had fallen down accidentally at her residence and injured herself. People across the globe are praying for her speedy recovery. Political leaders across party lines have wished her speedy recovery. The women of Bengal are hurt by his statement and will take revenge in due course of time.”

Dr Shashi Panja said, “Adhikari should tender unconditional apology. No civilised person can comment on a person who is unwell and met with an accident. His statement shows his poor breeding.”
Kunal Ghosh, state general secretary of the party said, “Adhikari’s statement shows his mental void. The statement was made in a sheer bad taste and calls for an unconditional apology.”
Dr Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar said, “Only an uncivil person can make such a comment against a injured person. The saffron party does not respect women and this has been proved over and over again.”
