Serampore MP Kalyan Banerjee on Saturday evening inaugurated the 33rd Milan Mela at Rishra Moitri Path.
The MP was all praise for the Rishra Municipality and its chairman Vijay Sagar Mishra for organising a grand Milan Mela. The MP said the Milan Mela brings people of different communities together, sending out the message of brotherhood and communal harmony.

The Rishra fair draws people from Uttarpara and Bandel areas.

On the issue of infiltration of terrorist groups in the state, the Serampore MP came down heavily on the central minister Giriraj Singh for blaming the state government for the alleged infiltration of terrorist groups in the state.
The MP said the central minister is unaware of the fact that the CBI is already carrying out an investigation against some businessmen who have allegedly maintained connections with some anti-national groups.
The Serampore MP added at the press conference that Delhi police have brought into light the fact that terrorist groups are infiltrating the country from northeastern states and that the BSF along the northeastern states have failed to prevent and resist infiltration of terrorist groups in the state and other parts of the country.
Kalyan Banerjee further said Giriraj Singh should be aware of the facts before making comments on such sensitive issues and blame West Bengal.
