Mr. Goutam Sarkar, Assistant Secretary of Shramajibi Hospital, reported that on February 14th, three patients—Manashi Dhara (45), Mammoni Majhi (41), and Pallav Kundu (58)— underwent laser surgery for fissure, fistula, hemorrhoids, and rectal complications. Laser operations are known for being less painful and causing minimal bleeding.

All three patients who underwent laser surgery last Friday are doing well and were discharged from the hospital today. Laparoscopic surgery is being performed on patients with gall bladder stones, appendicitis, and hernia. Like laser surgery, laparoscopic procedures are also less painful and involve minimal bleeding.
Patients are typically released within a couple of days following the operation. The Assistant Secretary stated that Shramajibi Hospital in Choto Belu, Pyerapore aims to provide high-tech, cutting-edge treatment to the rural population at affordable rates. Rural residents no longer need to travel to city hospitals; they can now access advanced treatment at a low, manageable cost.
