Announcing the success, Abhishek Banerjee posted on X: “I am thrilled to announce that Sebaashray has successfully served over a lakh people from a single AC on just the 7th DAY! This incredible feat would not have been possible without the relentless EFFORTS of our DOCTORS, NURSES, VOLUNTEERS, LAB TECHNICIANS and everyone involved in the project. Your unwavering dedication and commitment to serving the people have made this possible. This is an ALL TIME RECORD! Congratulations to everyone for this remarkable achievement!”

On Wednesday, one case came to light where an elderly patient got his much needed eye care for free at the camp.

“I came to a Sebaashray camp with my father who was suffering from an eye ailment. Due to financial constraints, I wasn’t able to treat him. The camps facilitated a successful eye treatment and I thank Abhishek da for this great help,” said a youth after his father received urgent medical attention at camp.

Another woman, Dipti Halder, came with her son, said, “I am coming from the Narayanpur block in Diamond Harbour with my son, who had some problem. The doctor saw him well and asked us to get X-Ray and blood tests done. The tests were done in a very efficient manner and the behaviour of volunteers is also very good.”

Parents from Jalpaiguri brought their child, who is specially-abled and cannot hear or speak by birth, also visited a Sebaashray camp today.

After necessary diagnosis by doctors, they advised the need for a ‘cochlear implant.’

The matter was brought to Abhishek ‘s attention and he has ensured that the entire procedure be free-of-cost.
