The TMC government had declassified 64 files on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose that were with the state home department, and put it in the public domain on September 18, 2015, saying they could have some information on the mysterious disappearance of Netaji.
Researcher and author Anuj Dhar, however, claimed later there should be more such files with the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
A section of Netaji’s family, as also some researchers, believe that Netaji died in the plane crash at Taihoku airport in Taipei, though other sections of the family, as also a large number of researchers and admirers of Bose, reject the air crash theory.
