“The state has decided to hold the business summit for three days in 2020. Next year, it will be held on 15, 16 and 17 December,” said Mr Mitra.
Mamata Banerjee had previously said that the summit would be held once in two years so as to help in making investments fructify. Many other states are holding their business summits once in two years.
The summit is usually held for two days in either January or February. This year, the summit was held in February. Fifty per cent of the investments that were received in the previous five editions of BGBS since 2015 are already in the process of implementation, Banerjee had claimed.
