The initiative taken by the state government to revive the lost glory of Kumbh Mela in Triveni at Kalyani has been hailed by religious leaders, sadhus and monks.

The Kashi Shankaracharya, while speaking to the media drew the attention on different non-political and political issues of the nation. The Shankaracharya said, “Different religious festivals aim to unite common people in the bondage of love. No nation can move ahead with communal ill feelings. Unity makes a nation strong and prosperous; everyone has the right to follow their own faith and belief. The contradictory views and opinions over the Ayodhya Ram Temple are baseless. Sri Ram is the guiding force of Sanatan dharma.”

Kashi Shankaracharya added, the political power at the Centre and different states should act firmly against forces trying to divide people and nation on irrelevant issues. “For political gains, parties should not compromise with the safety and security of the nation. Nation comes first,” said the seer.
