The state health department today sought a report from Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) of Nadia district today in connection with misbehaviour of a doctor with a child’s father.
Sources at the state health department claimed that Nabanna was upset with the reports that the father of a patient at Santipur State General Hospital had to clean the floor, and asked the state health secretary to seek a report from the CMOH, Nadia with immediate effect.

On Friday, there was a commotion at the Santipur State General Hospital, where a doctor had reportedly asked the father of a five-year old child to clean the floor allegedly after his child vomited following administering of an injection. The incident’s video went viral.

The person later told news persons that he along with his five-year-old daughter went to Shantipur state General Hospital to have her examined by a doctor. The doctor had prescribed him an injection. Accordingly, he took her child to another department to administer an injection, following which she started vomiting.
