“At present, over 2,000 FPOs are working in the state’s agriculture sector to help facilitate mechanised farming for rapid production,” said Mr Chatterjee.
State agriculture minister Sovandeb Chatterjee today said that Farmer producer Organisations (FPO) are the future of agriculture in the state because huge parcels of lands are hardly available and fragmented ones that are largely visible, on which FPOs are working are doing wonders for the state.
“At present, over 2,000 FPOs are working in the state’s agriculture sector to help facilitate mechanised farming for rapid production,” said Mr Chatterjee.
