Manmohan Singh’s ashes immersed in Yamuna
Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s ashes were immersed in Yamuna river in the national capital on Sunday.

State animal resources minister Swapan Debnath, MLA, Bardhaman (Dakshin), Khokon Das, DM and SP, East Burdwan together honoured Hansda at the civic reception organised by the zilla parishad at the historical Town Hall, this afternoon.

Rabi, a centre forward in Bengal soccer team and a new star in Bengal football hails from Mosharu village in Mongalkote. Chief minister Mamata Banerjee already has declared Rs 50 lakh cash reward for the winning team, besides, government job for each of the team members. A delightful Rabi said, “Form fill up for our government jobs has already been completed and we are instructed to join within a month.” Rabi, as he expected, will be pressed into the West Bengal Police services as a sub-inspector. The SP, East Burdwan, Sayok Das at the reception estimated that Hansda would be offered a berth with the police services. He said: “We’ll forward an appeal before the government to make Rabi a brand ambassador of the district police.”

Rabi said, “I dedicate my achievement in Santosh Trophy after my father who’d passed away a few years ago.” He advised the youngsters to give up their addiction to phones and spend more time in sports grounds.
