ER ensures smooth passage for passengers at Kumbh bound trains
Kumbh Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, attracts millions of pilgrims from across the country.
The additional stoppages are to be given to EMU/Passenger trains running between 8 am to 9.45 am and 1 pm to 2.30 pm on 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28 and 29 February.

Considering the upcoming higher secondary exams, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division has decided to provide additional stoppages of EMU/Passenger trains at Palta, Jagaddal, Kankinara, Payradanga and Jalalkhali Halt stations in Sealdah – Ranaghat – Krishnanagar section and Sanhati & Bibhuti Bhushan Halt station in Barasat – Bangaon section on specific days and time.
The additional stoppages are to be given to EMU/Passenger trains running between 8 am to 9.45 am and 1 pm to 2.30 pm on 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28 and 29 February. On these days, trains like 31815 Sealdah – Krishnanagar City will stop at Jalalkhali at 8. 22 am, 31819 Sealdah – Krishnanagar City will stop at Palta, Jagaddal and Kankinara at 8.22 am, 8.29 am and 8.42 am respectively.

Likewise, 31111 Sealdah – Katwa Local will stop at Jagatdal and Kankinara at 8.56 am, 8.58 am respectively. In addition, several other EMU/Passenger trains would have additional stoppages during the HS exam period.
