Tusker attack claims one more life in Kerala, this time it’s a 22-year-old youth
A 22-year-old youth was killed on Sunday in an attack by a wild elephant at Mullaringadu in Vannappuram Grama Panchayat, near Kothamangalam forest range in Kerala .

Two villagers were trampled to death by the migrating elephants in Barjora two weeks ago. Out of a total 67 elephants of the Dalma Range herd, 22 were pushed back to Jhargram last week. Umar Imam, DFO, Bankura (north) said, “We’ve put our rangers in those areas on high alert and the forest guards have been placed on different locations in the vulnerable stretches to help security cover.” The elephant squad patrolling vans have also been deputed for the Madhyamik days, the officials said.
