Miscreant fires gunshots at express train in Odisha
An unidentified miscreant allegedly fired gunshots at a moving train in Odisha on Tuesday causing damage to the window glass pane in one of the unoccupied compartments.
According to the police, had easy access to the entire rooms and the youth took the advantage of this.
The domestic help of a Koyambattur based textile tycoon was intercepted from a Patna bound Express train and gold worth Rs 32 lakh along with cash Rs 19 lakh were recovered from his possession.
Today, the accused was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court in Bankura and was allowed transit remand for 10 days today.
The ACP (Crime), Mr T Somasekara with the Koyambattur police took the accused in his custody at the Court.

Bikash Kumar Roy – a youth from Karadiha village of Giridih in Jharkhand was engaged as a domestic help at the house of Mr Shailesh G, – a textile giant in Koyambattur one year ago. He, according to the police, had easy access to the entire rooms and the youth took the advantage of this.
On last Monday, Mr Shailesh and his wife had been to an outing and Bikash was staying alone. During this, as the police stated: “He broke the volt at the textile merchant’s house and swept away the entire gold jewellery and cash and fled the city.” On return home, the textile merchant was shocked to note this and sought assistance by the police immediately.”
