Mobile phone in pocket protects man from bullet injury in West Delhi
In a shocking incident, a mobile phone in the pocket saved a man in West Delhi's Punjabi Bagh by deflecting a bullet fired at him during a brawl in his neighborhood.
His fingers, nose and eye were partially charred but the eyeball somehow was unaffected.
A ten-year-old boy suffered burn injuries in his hand and face when an Android cellular phone exploded at a village in Monteswar Police Station limits in Burdwan (East) this afternoon.
Mirazul Haq, the victim, was shifted to the Kalna Super Specialty Hospital where the physicians said the boy suffered injuries after the phone’s display exploded.

Mirazul, a class IV student of the local primary school at his native Kulut village was at home when the mishap occurred.
His mother Monika Haq stated: “He was playing internet game as usual with his father’s phone set. It was not connected with the power line.”
His father Anarul Haq said: “I heard the noise of a small explosion and my son screaming and rushed to the other room where I saw some fumes emanating from the cell phone set lying on the floor.” He added: “The phone set, it appears, exploded due to overheating as my son had been playing internet game for nearly an hour.”
The victim was immediately taken to the hospital with the help of youths of a local club.
