The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) stunt flying team of the Indian Air Force is all set to enthrall the audience at an airshow scheduled to be held on 16 February around 9 a.m. at Air Force Station Bagdogra, a senior Air Force official said. The objective of this airshow is to spread aware ness about the armed for ces and to inspire the youth of the country to join the forces.

This event will not showcase the extra ordinary skills of these pilots but also provide an opportunity for the public to witness the dedication and excellence of the Indian Air Force. Formed in 1996, the SKAT is among the very few aircraft aerobatics team in the world and is the only one in Asia, a senior IAF officer said, adding, “This one-of-a-kind team has carried out an astounding 500 displays in India besides showcasing the professionalism of the IAF in Airshows abroad in China, Sri Lanka, Mya nmar, Thailand, Singapore and UAE.
