Former Justice Abhijit Ganguly was a black spot on the Indian judicial system as the orders pronounced by him were biased and partisan.
“Abhijit Ganguly in a bid to build his career had given the judgements that were biased and delivered with a political vendetta. He misbehaved with lawyers inside the courtroom,” said Kalyan Banerjee, senior advocate of Calcutta High Court and Trinamul Congress MP. Mr Banerjee said he had pointed out a year ago that his orders were biased.

Trinamul spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said, “He talks big to weed out corruption, but in reality he supports corruption,” he said adding “how he could defend Suvendu Adhikari when the CBI had filed FIR against him.”

Mr Banerjee said 85 per cent of his orders were declared set aside by the Division Bench of the Supreme Court. He said “Is thoroughly corrupt as giving partisan judgment amounts to corruption,” he said adding, “He was with the CPM and now has joined the BJP.”
