Trinamool Congress leader found dead at a hotel in Bengal’s Mandarmani
A Trinamool Congress leader was found dead at a hotel at the Mandarmani sea resort in West Bengal's East Midnapore district on Saturday morning, triggering tension in the area.
The CBI has informed the court today that several indiscriminate bank documents have been seized, including 330 accounts, which need to be investigated.
The Special CBI Court in Asansol has sent TMC Birbhum district president, Anubrata Mondal to 14 days judicial custody. He will be next produced before the court on 3 March.
Anubrata’s bodyguard Sehgal Hussein has also been produced before the court in the virtual hearing from Tihar Jail in New Delhi.

The central investigating agency officials grilled Anubrata on these accounts at Asansol Special Correctional Home yesterday and told the court today that he has failed to give satisfactory reply.
The CBI is also planning to grill Sehgal Hussein at Tihar Jail.
Both the ED and the CBI are probing the cross border cattle smuggling case.
