The Union Budget will play a pivotal role in boosting the income of street vendors and improving the quality of life in urban areas, according to Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal.
As announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, under the new tax regime, individuals with an income of up to Rs 12 lakh will pay no income tax.
This overall allocation for the financial year 2025-26 has increased by 3.3 per cent in comparison to the allocation of Rs 2,616.44 crore (BE) made during last year 2024-25.
Corporate houses in the city seem to have lapped up the Union Budget 2025. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister ,Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu,expressed disappointment over the Union Government’s budget- 2025-26, labeling it as “inequitable” as the major part of it is focusing on Bihar. He highlighted several key areas of concern and called for immediate revisions to address the needs of the wider population of state.
