In 2018, Maddock Films laid the foundation of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe with its genre-defining film ‘Stree.’ Subsequently, the banner ventured into an array of titles including ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Munjya’.  Notably, all the titles feature interconnectedness with crossovers. Following the unprecedented success of ‘Stree 2’ the house recently unveiled its MUC-style line-up for the next four years. Apart from anticipated sequels and threequels, the new titles are- ‘Thama,’ ‘Shakti Shalini,’ and ‘Chamunda.’ While Ayushmaan Khurrana is going to lead ‘Thama,’ recent reports suggest that Kiara Advani is going to lead ‘Shakti Shalini.’

The actress is currently filming for ‘Toxic’ and ‘War 2’ and is likely to headline the horror-comedy releasing on December 31, 2025. A source close to the production teased the news to India Today. “The film demands a leading lady who can embody strength and vulnerability simultaneously, and Kiara ticks all the boxes. Talks are ongoing, but nothing is finalised yet.”

If the word is true, ‘Shakti Shalini’ will mark Kiara’s first collaboration with Maddock Films. Last year, paps spotted the actress a few times at Maddock’s office for meetings, sparking collaboration rumours. With the latest report, fans are curious to find out more.

Meanwhile, previously Pinkvilla reported that the film will go on floors by the middle of 2025 with a start-to-finish schedule. A source told the portal, “It’s going to be Kiara Advani in and as, and the negotiations are in the advanced stages. Once the things are on paper, an official announcement will be made.” However, as of now, no official confirmation is available from Kiara Advani or Maddock’s end.

Currently, the actress is gearing up for the release of ‘Game Changer’ with Ram Charan. The pan-Indian entertainer is going to release on January 10. In the film, Kiara Advani plays Ram Charan’s love interest and exudes her quintessential charm.

Shankar has helmed ‘Game Changer.’ Karthik Subbaraj has penned the film with writing contributions from S. U. Venkatesan and Vivek. Meanwhile, Dil Raju and Sirish are backing the film under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Zee Studios, and Dil Raju Productions. Apart from Ram Charan, S.J. Suryah, and Kiara Advani, the film also stars Anjali, Samuthirakani, Srikanth, Prakash Raj and Sunil in key roles. The makers have developed the film against a whopping budget of 450 crores.
