Rom-com heartthrob Park Seo Joon is going to lead the upcoming drama ‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ while Won Ji An is yet to greenlight. On January 6, the production team of ‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ revealed that Park Seo Joon is cast as the male lead of the romance comedy.

Meanwhile, on January 3, a media outlet reported that Won Ji An is in talks to star in the new drama ‘Waiting for Gyeongdo.’ She recently left viewers in awe with her portrayal of Sae Mi in ‘Squid Game 2.’ In response to the report, Won Ji An’s agency Hiin Entertainment issued a statement. “‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ is a project that Won Ji An is currently reviewing her casting offer for.” If she also gives the nod, fans will be in for a fresh new pairing which is sure to make waves.

The upcoming JTBC drama will focus on the narrative of Lee Kyung Do and Seo Ji Woo. The duo meet during their youth and subsequently fall in love with each other in their twenties. As time passes by, they have an unanticipated reunion at an unexpected moment in their life.

Park Seo Joon will play the role of Lee Gyeong Do. He is an entertainment reporter for Dongwoon Ilbo. Lee Gyeong Do is a relatable office worker with a grounded and humble personality and blends in with the crowd. His life takes a chaotic turn when he reconnects with his ex-girlfriend Seo Ji Woo. In the past, he once had a passionate relationship with her. They reconnect after her husband becomes part of a cheating scandal.

The drama explores their complex love story, oscillating between the present and flashbacks to their college years. Director Lim Hyun Wook and screenwriter Yoo Young Ah are going to collaborate on the fluttering rom-com.
