Three teenage girls, who fled their home after being scolded by their parents, were found at Haridwar railway station, the police said here on Monday. All three were studying in a public school in Kailash Puri in seventh, sixth and fifth standards.

According to the police, they received information on Sunday about the disappearance of three girls aged 11, 12 and 13 years. Based on this, a complaint was filed at Police station Sagarpur under section 137/2 (Kidnapping) of the BNS.

Sensing the gravity of the matter, the cops searched about 100 CCTV cameras in which their movements were spotted from Sagarpur to Hauz Khas and then to Nizamuddin. They were traced by the Haridwar police at the railway station there within a span of 24 hours after the complaint was filed, the cops said.

The preliminary investigation into the matter states that all three of them were angry with the scolding of their parents and they left their house in anger. The police are further investigating the matter, said officials.
