Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Assembly VD Satheesan said on Thursday that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s stance that ADGP Ajith Kumar won’t be replaced proves that the RSS has more influence in the government than the LDF constituents.
Speaking to media persons here, Satheesan said the Left Front’s decision to protect Ajith Kumar, who is accused of having secret ties with RSS leaders, demonstrated the sway the RSS held over the LDF government, overshadowing even its own allies.
”This is clear proof of the RSS-CPI-M connection, CM Vijayan is cautious in taking any action against Ajith Kumar, fearing it could upset the RSS,” Satheesan said
The CM’s action against the honest Malappuram SP was to please LDF MLA P V Anvar, who had levelled serious allegations against top Kerala cops,” he said. By this, what message the Chief Minister is giving to the police, Satheesan asked
Meanwhile, KPCC president K. Sudhakaran MP said that the Chief Minister is protecting ADGP Ajith Kumar despite the opposition from LDF constituent parties and cabinet members.
He said the Left constituent parties are not able to correct CPI-M and Chief Minister. The LDF constituent parties have now reached a pitiable situation wherein they have to give up their stance in order to cope with the CPI-M stand., Sudhakaran said
In the LDF meeting held on Wednesday, CPI leader Binoy Viswam, RJD leader Varghese George and NCP leader PC Chacko reportedly demanded action against ADGP MR Ajit Kumar.
However, the Chief Minister took the stand that action would be taken after the completion of the probe. ADGP’s meeting with RSS leaders will also be investigated.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that state police chief S Darvesh Saheb recorded the statement of ADGP MR Ajith Kumat on the complaints filed against him by CPI-M-backed MLA PV Anvar
It is learned that the police chief had recommended a vigilance probe against Ajith Kumar over the allegations including possession of disproportionate assets
