In a significant move towards promoting sustainable business practices, the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has joined forces with Canada’s Earth Nature Climate Initiative (ENCI). This partnership, formalized through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to bolster education and training in sustainability.

BIMTECH, a premier business school in India renowned for its robust educational programs, is teaming up with ENCI, an organization known for its expertise in sustainability. The collaboration is designed to enhance how sustainability is integrated into various industries, equipping students and professionals with the knowledge to adopt eco-friendly practices.

Dr. Prabina Rajib, Director of BIMTECH, emphasized the importance of this MoU in advancing sustainable practices. “Our goal is to raise awareness and educate individuals on reducing their environmental impact while promoting sustainable development,” she said.

The agreement will see the creation of innovative management development programs tailored to upskill professionals and fortify leadership in the corporate world. These programs will feature a mix of specialized sessions, contextual case studies, and comprehensive insights into sustainability, aiming to address the educational needs of the industry effectively.

ENCI’s Chief Executive Director, Panos Alivizatos, highlighted the accessibility of the program. “With 80 percent of the coursework available online and 20 percent conducted on-campus, we’re ensuring that our training is accessible to a broader audience,” he explained. Alivizatos added that the initiative will begin with foundational programs and will gradually expand to cover various sectors such as tourism and energy.
