MP CM and new DGP– both hail from Ujjain
Madhya Pradesh is soon going to witness a very rare occurrence, as the state’s Chief Minister and the new Director General of Police (DGP) will be from the same city.
As per official data, Khargone recorded the highest turnout at 75.79 per cent while the lowest was in Indore at 60.53 per cent.
An average overall 72 per cent voting was recorded from the eight parliamentary constituencies that went to polls in Madhya Pradesh in the fourth phase of General Elections on Monday.
According to Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan, polling was conducted peacefully and ended at 6 pm. He said the poll percentage figure would be revised after the final compilation of data.
As per official data, Khargone recorded the highest turnout at 75.79 per cent while the lowest was in Indore at 60.53 per cent.

Mandsaur recorded 74.50 per cent polling, Dewas 74.86 per cent, Khargone 75.79 per cent, Ratlam 72.86 per cent, Ujjain 73.03 per cent, Khandwa 70.72 per cent, Dhar 71.50 per cent and Indore 60.53 per cent.
In 2019, 75.65 per cent polling was recorded in these eight seats, Rajan said.
The total polling in all the 29 seats in the state in 2019 was 71.16 per cent, he said.
The General Elections ended in Madhya Pradesh today, as this was the last phase of Lok Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh.
