The legal team of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday moved the Supreme Court seeking urgent listing of his plea after Enforcement Directorate arrested him in a money laundering case related to the alleged liquor policy scam.
AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi said, “We have received news that ED has arrested Arvind Kejriwal… We have always said that Arvind Kejriwal will run the govt from jail. He will remain the CM of Delhi. We have filed a case in the Supreme Court. Our lawyers are reaching SC. We will demand SC have an urgent hearing tonight.”

Hearing his petition, a devision bench of the high court said that they can’t pass any order at this stage.
More than half a dozen ED officials reached Kejriwal’s residence and conducted searches in connection with the money laundering case. He was questioned for nearly two hours before being arrested.
Heavy police force has been deployed outside Kejriwal’s residence amid protest by his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers and supporters. A team of Rapid Action Police has also been stationed outside the Delhi CM’s bunglow in Civil Lines.
