The Kolkata Metro Railway released the integrated fare chart from Hemanta Mukhopadhyay station of the Orange Line from various Metro stations of the Blue and Green Lines.
According to the chart, the fare from Howrah Maidan or Howrah Metro station of the Green Line till Hemanta Mukhopadhyay (Ruby crossing) of the Orange Line is Rs 50 while that from Mahakaran or any station from Dakshineswar to Sovabazar metro station is Rs 45. Commuters availing a ride from any station between Girish Park and Rabindra Sarobar of the Blue Line till Hemanta Mukhopadhyay would have to spend Rs 40. Similarly, a ride from any station between Mahanayak Uttam Kumar and Masterda Surya Sen to Hemanta Mukhopadhyay would cost them rupees 35 while a commute from stations between Gitanjali and Kavi Nazrul and Hemanta Mukhopadhyay is to be Rs 30. As revealed by the city Metro today, the fare for commuting from Sahid Khudiram to Hemanta Mukhopadhyay is Rs 25.
Meanwhile, the city Metro has announced special midnight Metro services in Blue Line after the IPL T-20 match of Kolkata Knight Riders, which is scheduled to be played at Eden Gardens on 23 March. According to Kaushik Mitra, chief public relations officer of Kolkata Metro Railway, one special Metro service after the IPL T-20 match will start from Esplanade at 12.15am to reach Dakshineswar at 12.48am. The other special service would run from Esplanade at 12.15am and reach Kavi Subhash at 12.48am. As informed by the Kolkata Metro Railway office, the booking counters would remain open at Esplanade station only for the sale of smart cards and tokens.
Apart from this, the Kolkata Metro Railway has also decided to run 234 services on 29 March on the occasion of Good Friday. However, no changes are to be made in the timings of the first and the last train.
