Nominations for the first phase of polls in Madhya Pradesh commenced today and the Chief Minister went to Sidhi to be present with the BJP candidate Dr Rajesh Mishra when he filed his nomination.

Taking a jibe at the Congress for not being able to announce names of 18 Lok Sabha candidates in Madhya Pradesh till now, MP Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav commented on Wednesday that the grand old party was not able to come out of its own problems and was not in a good shape.
Nominations for the first phase of polls in Madhya Pradesh commenced today and the Chief Minister went to Sidhi to be present with the BJP candidate Dr Rajesh Mishra when he filed his nomination.
Before leaving for Sidhi, Dr Yadav said, “We want all political parties to be active for a healthy democracy, but unfortunately the Congress is not in a good condition.”

“The Congress is stuck with so many of its own problems and it is not being able to cope up with them,” the MP CM said. The BJP has announced candidates on all the 29 Lok Sabha seats of MP, but the Congress has still not been able to announce the names of candidates on 18 Lok Sabha seats, he added.
Of the 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state, the Congress has so far declared its candidates on 10 seats only.
The Congress has left one seat of Khajuraho for its INDIA ally, the Samajwadi Party (SP). Incidentally, the SP has also not yet declared any candidate on the seat.
The MP CM expressed strong confidence that the people were fully in favour of the BJP under Prire Minister Narendra Modi. Dr Yadav claimed that the BJP would register a thumping win not only in Madhya Pradesh but the entire country.
Earlier there were reports that the Congress CEC meeting in New Delhi would decide the remaining 18 candidates for MP on 19 March. However, the Congress leadership could not come to a decision and now it is expected to declare the candidates on 21 March.
