Though BJP’s slogan of crossing 400-mark in the Lok Sabha polls is resonating a lot, a poet of the district claimed his right to the slogan that has become a hit in the election campaign.

The poet claimed that the slogan had been taken from one of his poems, which he had posted on Facebook four years ago. The poet sent a complaint to the Election Commission objecting to the use of the slogan.

Avadh Bihari Mishra, resident of Kamalpur village of Tehsil Bhogaon, sent this complaint to the ECI saying he writes poetry and on August 5, 2019, he posted a poem on his Facebook account, said a report here on Tuesday.

He alleges the poem had been taken up as a slogan by BJP’s IT cell, which has become a hit and a favorite slogan of the people. His contribution in creating this slogan is being ignored which is not appropriate.

He demanded from the Election Commission that this slogan of BJP should be completely banned.
