BJP will corner AAP govt on public interest issues in Assembly:Gupta
The Leader of the Opposition said that this government has failed on every front.
The party has called the summons ‘illegal.’
Aam Aadmi Party supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday skipped Directorate of Enforcement (ED) summons over a money laundering case in connection with corruption linked to the Delhi Jal Board.
The party has called the summons ‘illegal.’
The AAP, reacting to the summons, has said that despite the ED moving to the court, which is yet to decide whether the summons were legal or not, the agency has sent another summons.

In a press conference here, AAP leader Gopal Rai while replying to a question, asked ”why was the ED getting so impatient and sending summons, without waiting for the court’s decision”.
Further, taking a dig at the ruling dispensation at the Centre, Rai said, “If the BJP wants to arrest Arvind Kejriwal, why is this summons game taking place?” He added that if they have faith in the Constitution then they must wait for the court’s decision on the issue like the AAP was (displaying patience).
The AAP has called the summons illegal. It said the matter was in the court while Kejriwal has been granted bail in this regard whereas the decision over the validity of the summons was awaited.
Meanwhile, the AAP has accused the ruling government at the Centre of “using” the federal probe agency to target their convener, in a bid to stop him from campaigning for the general elections.
On the ED summons to Kejriwal (linked to the DJB scam), AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj told a news agency that, “Central government feels that if Arvind Kejriwal goes out of Delhi and holds rallies and meetings for INDI Alliance, difficulties for BJP will increase.”
