The snake venom case pertains to a rave party in Noida’s sector 51 last year. Elvish Yadav is accused of providing snake venom for the party.

The case came to light after a complaint was filed against Yadav and five others by ‘People For Animals’, an NGO run by Maneka Gandhi. The NGO had claimed that it contacted Yadav as part of a “sting operation” and asked him to provide Cobra snake venom for the rave party.

Based on the complaint, the Noida Police had booked six people, including the YouTuber, under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly smuggling snake venom for the rave party.

While the five persons were arrested by the police, Yadav’s role was being probed. The Bigg Boss winner, who has posed with snakes in his videos, is accused of having links with a network of snake venom smugglers.

Elvish has dismissed the allegations and said that he was not involved in the snake venom case.

His arrest also comes in the backdrop of a recent brawl with another YouTuber. In a purported video of the incident, Yadav is seen beating Maxtern.

Later, the duo mutually resolved the issue in an Instagram live arranged by fitness influencers Rajat Dalal and Nitin Chandila.
