The much-awaited song ‘Naram Kaalja’ from the upcoming film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila,’ featuring the dynamic duo of Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, has finally hit the airwaves, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
The song, sung by Diljit himself, is a playful ode to the female fans who adored Amar Singh Chamkila, a legendary figure in Punjab’s music scene known for his electrifying stage presence. Backed by the musical genius of AR Rahman and adorned with the poetic lyrics of Irshad Kamil, ‘Naram Kaalja’ features vocals by Alka Yagnik, Richa Sharma, Pooja Tiwari, and Yashika Sikka.
Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ promises to unravel the riveting tale of Punjab’s original rockstar who defied odds to become a household name in the 80s, only to meet a tragic end at the tender age of 27. Set to premiere on Netflix come April 12th, the film is a collaborative effort between Mohit Choudhary, Select Media Holdings LLP, Saregama, and Window Seat Films.
