BJP releases Aarop Patra against Kejriwal Govt in Delhi
Blowing poll bugle for upcoming Assembly elections, the BJP Monday released a Charge Sheet (Aarop Patra) against the Arvind Kejriwal Government in Delhi.
The party has also fielded Chakat Aboh from Khonsa west. She is the wife of former MLA Late Tirong Aboh, who was killed in an ambush on May 21,2019.
The BJP on Wednesday released the list of 60 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh, including fielding Chief Minister Pema Khandu from his constituency Mukto.
The party’s Central Election Committee has selected the candidates during its meeting held on March 11 under the chairmanship of its president Jagat Prakash Nadda, as per a communiqué issued by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh.

Besides Khandu, the other heavyweights are Arunachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and state Health Minister Alo Libang. Sona will contest from Mechukha, Mein from Chowkham and Libang from Tuting Yingkiong Assembly constituencies. They are representing their respective constituencies currently.

The BJP has fielded its Arunachal unit president Biyuram Waghe from Pakke-Kessang, his home turf.
The women candidates include Dasanglu Pul, wife of former chief minister Kalikho Pul. She will contest from Hayuliang.
The party has also fielded Chakat Aboh from Khonsa west. She is the wife of former MLA Late Tirong Aboh, who was killed in an ambush on May 21,2019.
According to the list, the party also fielded politicians who recently switched over to the BJP. Among these are former Union minister Ninong Ering from Pasighat West and Mutchu Mithi from Roing.
Elections to the 60-member Arunachal Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held simultaneously.
In the 2019 Assembly polls, the BJP emerged as the single largest party by winning 41 seats.
It may be mentioned that the party earlier announced the name Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and former state president Tapir Gao from Arunachal West and Arunachal East parliamentary seats, which they currently represent for the general elections.
The frontier state has two Lok Sabha seats.
