Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that as Uttar Pradesh is touching the heights of development, the poison of appeasement is also weakening in the state.

” In the last elections, the people of Azamgarh showed that what the family members considered their stronghold was demolished by a young man like Dinesh. That’s why the family members are so upset. They are abusing Modi every day. They are saying that Modi does not have his own family. They forget that Modi’s family is 140 crore people of the country. Today, voices are coming from every corner of India, everyone is saying that ‘I am Modi’s family’,” he said.

The PM said that earlier at the time of elections, leaders used to make announcements to throw dust in the eyes of the public, later there was no one to ask. ” But today the country is seeing that Modi is a person of a different nature. The foundation stones we laid in 2019 have been implemented today. Even in 2024, please do someone a favor and do not look at these development works through the electoral lens. This is the campaign of my infinite journey of development. I am running at a fast pace with the resolve to make the country a developed India by 2047 and I am also running the country at a fast pace,” he claimed.

Ever since the double engine government came to power in the state, both the picture and destiny of UP have changed, PM said.

” Today UP has come in the category of frontline states. Earlier UP used to decide the politics of the country, but now it is also deciding the direction of development,” PM said while addressing a public meeting here in Manduri after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 782 development projects worth Rs 34,700 crore. This includes the inauguration of new airports in five districts of the state, Azamgarh, Shravasti, Moradabad, Chitrakoot and Aligarh and the new terminal of Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, as well as the inauguration of Maharaja Suheldev Rajbhar State University in Azamgarh.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister gave his guarantee that Azamgarh will remain a bastion of development throughout life and eternity.

In his address, the Prime Minister praised the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath and said that in the last years, the double engine government has done development works worth lakhs of crores in UP. This has not only changed the infrastructure but has also created millions of new opportunities for the youth. Today UP is being recognized by record investment and ground breaking ceremonies. UP is being discussed due to expressway and better law and order. The centuries-old wait for Ram temple in Ayodhya has also ended. Due to the development of Banaras, Mathura and Kushinagar, tourism has increased rapidly in UP, the entire state is benefiting from it. This guarantee was given 10 years ago, which is being fulfilled today.

He said that this time Azamgarh should not lag behind in the complete cleanliness of UP. He said in Bhojpuri that “Azamgarh Jaun Chah Jaala Oo Kar Levela”. He appealed to the people of Azamgarh to cross 400 this time. The Prime Minister said that the launch of so many development works simultaneously is the first event in the history of Azamgarh. He called it a celebration of development.

The PM said that today the star of Azamgarh is shining. There was a time when a program was organized from Delhi and other states of the country used to join it, but today the program is being organized in Azamgarh and thousands of people from every corner of the country are joining it. Today, many projects are being launched from here for the development of not only Azamgarh but the entire country.

While communicating with the people of Azamgarh in Bhojpuri, PM said that the love of the people of Azamgarh and the development of Azamgarh is giving sleepless nights to the INDI alliance relying on casteism, nepotism and vote banks. ” Purvanchal has seen politics of casteism and appeasement for decades. This area has also been witnessing the politics of development for the last 10 years. It has gained more momentum in the last seven years under the leadership of Yogi ji. The people here have also seen the dangers of mafia rule and fundamentalism and now the people here are also seeing the rule of law,” he added.

He said that during the previous governments, Azamgarh and Purvanchal not only suffered from backwardness, but during that period, no effort was made to tarnish the image of this place. The entire country has seen the way terror and muscle power were protected in the previous governments. The double engine government is continuously working to change this situation and provide new opportunities to the youth here.

He said this vision of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas is the basic mantra of the double engine government. Increasing connectivity is going to write a golden future for the farmers, youth and entrepreneurs of Purvanchal.

The PM said that the priority of our government is that farmers should get the right price for their produce. The remunerative price for sugarcane farmers has also been increased by eight percent this year. Now the remunerative price of sugarcane has increased from Rs 315 to Rs 340 per quintal.
